Third graders stepped back in time to the Viking Age as they explored the lives of the men, women, and children of Scandinavia—modern-day Norway, Sweden, and Denmark. Throughout the day, students learned about Viking culture, language, and daily life, discovering how the Norse people lived through farming, fishing, and trading. They also followed the journeys of daring Viking explorers who sailed across the seas to settle in new lands such as Iceland, Greenland, and even Newfoundland. Viking Day brought history to life through curiosity, creativity, and hands-on learning!
