First grade is coming to the end of their Fables Unit in first grade. On Friday they worked on water colorings of Peter rabbit, just like the author and illustrator Beatrix Potter.

Nebo District is offering a mental health screener for students on the evening of September 21, 2026, at Diamond Fork Middle School from 4 pm to 8 pm. We will be using Terrace Metrics software to measure mental and emotional strengths, as well as screen for anxiety, depression, trauma, and suicidal ideation of students in grades 6-12. Students in grades 3-5 may participate to be screened for mental and emotional strengths, anxiety, depression, and trauma.
If you would like to participate, please sign up at https://nebomentalhealthscreener-3-5-8-4-8-3.youcanbook.me/ for an appointment. The assessment tool takes an average of 15 minutes to complete. Afterward, you and your student will meet with a school counselor or social worker to discuss the results of the assessment and receive resources, as needed.

We need your help spreading the word about Kindergarten Registration! We need accurate numbers so we have the correct number of kindergarten teachers for the upcoming school year. Lunch menu for the last week of school is manager's choice. As of now, this is what our school is planning on serving.
Free Summer Meals for youth ages 18 and under. Lunches served Mon-Fri 10:30-11:30 from June 1 - August 7 at the Santaquin Centennial Park (300 W 100 S). Lunches must be eaten on site. No lunch served on June 19, July 3, and July 24.
Calling all Apple Valley alumni seniors. Join us for Grad Walk on Monday, May 18. Walk starts at 10:00 so meet before in the lobby.

To help with even class placement, we will be doing Kindergarten Screeners. These assessments will take about 15 minutes per student to complete. Parents will attend the screener with their child and wait while they are tested.

Apple Valley wants to give a big shout out to three of our teachers for graduating. Mrs Capps and Ms Stevens were here all year as interns and we were so impressed with them. They have now graduated and we wish them the very best in their futures! Ms Peery, one of our amazing third grade teachers, also graduated with her Masters in Education for Teacher Leadership.
