Dear Parent or Guardian,
Nebo District is offering a mental health screener for students on the evening of March 23, 2026, at Spring Canyon Middle School from 4 pm to 8 pm. We will be using Terrace Metrics software to measure mental and emotional strengths, as well as screen for anxiety, depression, trauma, and suicidal ideation of students in grades 6-12. Students in grades 3-5 may participate to be screened for mental and emotional strengths, anxiety, depression, and trauma.
If you would like to participate, please sign up here for an appointment. The assessment tool takes an average of 15 minutes to complete. Afterward, you and your student will meet with a school counselor or social worker to discuss the results of the assessment and receive resources, as needed.

Prior to taking the mental health screener, a consent form needs to be completed by the parent/guardian. The consent form will be available upon arrival at the screener event.

Happy St Patrick's Day from Apple Valley!
Student council members Jewelz and Jane chose to interview Mrs Larsen for the Faculty Spotlight. Mrs Larsen works as an intervention specialist and as our art teacher. She is amazing at all she does !
Over 70 on-demand courses are available on ParentGuidance.org. These courses are led by licensed therapists and cover topics such as anxiety, bullying, technology use, and child and teen development. Families can access these courses anytime, making them a flexible resource for learning and support.
Our lost and found is filling up with jackets, coats, and lunchboxes. If you are missing any items, please check the lost and found during SEP's, located in the hallway outside of the cafeteria. All remaining items will be donated at the end of the week.

Mrs Smith, Kindergarten teacher, was awarded with the 25/26 Crystal Apple Award in recognition of a continued dedication to the students. Mrs Smith brings passion, creativity, and care into everything she does. We are grateful for the difference she make in the lives of our students.
Mrs Porter, assistant secretary, was awarded with the 25/26 Outstanding Employee Recognition in recognition of a continued dedication to the students and faculty. Mrs Porter uses her creativity, kindness, and technical skills to benefit our students and staff.
